We’re going on a trip! This is my favourite phrase because I love teaching outdoors. Sometimes it’s a good idea to shake things up and have a change of scene.
As we are in always-sunny Valencia, we can go for a walk through the city centre. This is a special class which is less about grammar and more about the history and culture of the city of Valencia. While I listen to my students’ views of life in Valencia, I show them the main sights in the centre and the most famous places in the historic quarter. I tell them interesting facts about the city while we see unique places such as the Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas, Central Market, the packed Plaza de la Reina, the Plaza de la Virgen and the cathedral. We stroll through the famous El Carmen district and finally we stop to have a glass of horchata in the traditional Santa Catalina horchata bar.
If you like art, history, sunshine and speaking Spanish, this class is for you!
